Until her death in 1981, Marthe Robin hardly left her farm in Châteauneuf-de-Galaure. Sick, paralyzed, living far from fame in absolute discretion, she has nevertheless changed countless lives.
Because her suffering was entirely dedicated to God and to the thousands of people, famous or anonymous, who came to her bedside to gather an opinion, an encouragement, sometimes a simple word... It is notably on the testimonies of these visitors that Bernard Peyrous relied on to draw the most complete portrait to date of Marthe Robin. That of a woman who, far from the excesses attributed to mystics, is on the contrary disarming in her simplicity and admirable in her courage.
