Praying Virgin Icon, Hand-Painted Wood and Gold Leaf – 7.5 × 14.5 cm

The Praying Virgin: a gift of faith from the heart

Pause, remember a loved one, rediscover the gift of silence: this Marian icon on gold-decorated wood accompanies the simple gestures of spiritual life. Its slender shape brings a delicate presence to even a small space.

The beauty of wood and gold leaf

Hand-painted on wood and decorated with gold leaf, this 7.5 × 14.5 cm icon honours Mary at prayer. Her raised hands frame the Christ Child depicted on her breast. The vertical composition draws your gaze towards this gesture of openness and trust.

A symbol of intercession and hope

Orans means “praying”. In Christian tradition, Mary’s raised hands evoke intercession. The presence of Christ recalls the Incarnation and her divine motherhood. Gold evokes divine light, inviting you to contemplate, give thanks or offer a personal intention.

A thoughtful gift with a place in everyday life

Choose it for a baptism, First Communion or as an affectionate gesture for someone devoted to Mary. On a stable support in a bedroom or prayer corner, it becomes a familiar focus for quiet reflection. A few personal words will make this gift even more meaningful.
