Framed San Damiano Cross icon – Saint Francis, 21 × 27 cm

The San Damiano Cross in a warm golden setting

This Saint Francis Cross icon combines rich imagery with an invitation to prayer. Christ with open eyes occupies the centre, surrounded by figures and small scenes. Red, dark tones and gold define the composition. The moulded antique-effect frame completes the presentation, with selected areas of the icon enhanced by gold leaf.

An invitation to listen and respond

According to Franciscan tradition, Francis of Assisi heard Christ’s call to rebuild his Church while praying before the San Damiano crucifix. The image recalls a faith expressed in listening, humility and service. It accompanies personal reflection on the cross and the love of Christ.

A special place in your home or chapel

Hang the icon in a prayer corner, beside a place for spiritual reading or in a chapel. The 21 × 27 cm format gives it a visible presence without taking up much wall space. A certificate on the back completes the piece. A thoughtful Confirmation or ordination gift, or a gift for someone devoted to Saint Francis.
