Pope Benedict XVI's Celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the Tomb of St. Peter - DVD
Vicar of Christ, Pope Benedict XVI, as the 267th successor of St. Peter, appointed by Christ as the Rock of the Catholic Church. Let us celebrate with the cardinals, bishops, priests, and the praying people of God, at the tomb of Saint Peter, in the church of Christians built and renovated by Emperor Constantine, in Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome, the Holy Eucharist, the Holy Mass, the bloodless sacrifice of the Cross on Calvary, for the blessing of all Catholic souls.
In the Upper Room, Christ gave us the seven sacraments, including the Holy Eucharist and the priesthood.
No other religious community possesses these seven sacraments with which Christ promised us heaven.
Let us visit, as often as possible, this precious treasure that the Holy Catholic Church offers us freely. No date can be more important than the Holy Mass. Anyone who bears the Christian symbol C in their coat of arms should not make any professional appointments on Sundays. The Holy Mass, the supreme good possessed only by the Catholic Church, instituted by Christ, is immeasurable in its value, which is for the salvation not only of living Christians but also of deceased Christians.
At the end, the Prince Ludwig of Bavaria Men's Choir, which sang with Pope John Paul II in St. Peter's Cathedral, sings the hymn "Holy God, Strong God" by Leander Prinz under his direction.
