Our Father who is on earth
This book, which is absolutely to be read and meditated on, is a space of poetry, culture and humanity that finds the words likely to awaken the unexpected proximity of God, to help us complete our Pater, to make our life "an incessant and interminable Our Father".

"The earth, this earth daily troubled by crises and desires; is it what separates us or what brings us closer to God?"
José Tolentino Mendonça is one of the original voices of modern Portugal. A specialist in biblical studies, he approaches with rigor and creativity the various themes and texts of the Christian canon, while maintaining a constant dialogue with current concerns and questions. He has made the relationship between Christianity and culture the main idea guiding his career. In 2011-2012, he spent the year at New York University, as a visiting scholar in a team that studied the theme "Religion and the Public Space".
He is the national head of the Pastoral Ministry of Culture in Portugal, and he was recently appointed consultant to the Pontifical Council for Culture at the Vatican. In addition to being an essayist, Father Tolentino Mendonça is also a talented poet: many recognize his work as one of the most significant of our time. His works are very successful in Portugal and are increasingly translated and distributed throughout the world.
