Nicknamed the one that kills evil, sacred tree or tree of life, the lapacho is native to South America where indigenous healers use it to treat many ailments. These range from antifungal or parasitic infections to various skin problems such as acne or psoriasis, sometimes also as an antidote for snake bites.
These pieces of bark are used as incense to bring a serene atmosphere, soothing the mind for an attitude conducive to concentration or meditation. They are also used for the purification and protection of places.
