What deliverance means in prayer

In traditional Marian devotion, people may bring a hope for freedom from addiction or harmful habits to prayer. They may also pray about energies they perceive as negative around a place or person, or seek distance from someone’s harmful influence. A prayer of deliverance expresses the desire for inner strength when facing evil. These are spiritual beliefs and intentions; incense does not treat addiction or assure a change.

With a novena candle

Use a few grains for the daily prayer beside a novena candle, including a prayer of deliverance. Someone facing addiction can also seek support from loved ones and qualified professionals.
