San Damiano - Testimonies

San Damiano is undoubtedly one of those privileged places where Heaven sometimes communicates with Earth through various signs: the scent of roses, solar phenomena, visions, conversions, vocations to the priesthood or to a work of the Church, physical or spiritual healings, benefits brought by the well water and the handkerchiefs blessed by Our Lady...

The graces received by numerous pilgrims in this blessed place are numerous, since that famous October 16, 1964, the date on which the Blessed Virgin appeared to Rosa Quattrini, known as "Mamma Rosa," to whom she gave her first message.

The testimonies of graces collected in this book have no other purpose than to promote the recognition of these apparitions by the Church. This desire to work for Our Lady of the Roses manifested itself in me through an inner call, as if a voice of infinite sweetness were saying to me: "Return to San Damiano!" » This has increased, on each of my pilgrimages, my contacts with many pilgrims happy to testify to the graces received.

I think it is important to add that the events described and the photos contained therein must be interpreted with the eyes of faith.

Here is what Monsignor R. Seguy, Bishop Emeritus of Autun, said: "I pray God to bless this initiative and this work. I hope that these testimonies, in some way the little flowers of Saint Damien, will contribute to a love of the Blessed Virgin, to strengthen trust in her maternal intercession, and to open the path to Salvation for many, for the glory of God."
