The printed manuscript Bible gathers in 2 volumes, the entire book of Psalms and the New Testament, copied by more than 500 participants, of all ages, from all Christian confessions, and from all the French-speaking world, during the period of the confinement / deconfinement of 2020. It is:

The birth of the project:
In May 2020, the Alliance Biblique Française launched the collective creation of a handwritten Bible or "Bible of the confined" by inviting all those who want to participate to copy a chapter of the New Testament or a psalm. This project brings together the works of various volunteer copyists to make a unique and original object. 500 copyists from all walks of life and all Christian denominations have embarked on this wonderful adventure. "Copying the Bible is a strong spiritual experience that involves a personal appropriation of the text while being in a collective process. It is part of a history, in a relationship with the text that comes to us from afar and that we continue to bring to life by remaining connected together to the essential.
