The Unknown Treasure

"This book relates the apparition, the prodigies and the wonders of the Virgin Mary, since the year 1635 in Bargemon. Brother Raphael, an Augustinian priest in charge of the chapel-sanctuary which contained the small miraculous statue of Our Lady of Bargemon, brought back from Montaigu in Belgium, writes :

"Between these places which in various times She has chosen, the honor which I owe to this sovereign of the heavens and the various wonders which my eyes have witnessed, oblige me to say, to those who do not know it, that there is in Provence a holy and venerable chapel in the town of Bargemon, where for five years this magnificent princess seems to receive and give with better heart than in any place in the world. This magnificent princess has been producing miracles there with more evidence and abundance than anywhere else in the world, for some secret of heaven, which I adore, cannot understand. There has never been a more crowded place..."

And this does not seem to be a matter of oratory, since he assures us that "at every moment in the chapel, which was full of faithful night and day, cries of admiration and joy could be heard at any time, bursting out for the publication of some new miracle".

Resurrections of the dead, physical healings, deliverances, prodigious protections: nothing resists the one who established in Bargemon the seat of her goodness and the throne of her power, exciting the loving fervor of the peoples here and elsewhere".

The miraculous statuette and the painting of the apparition were enthroned in the parish church on March 17, 2016 and welcome every day the devotion of the inhabitants and pilgrims.
