Testimony of Canon Bordachar
Canon Bordachar had been put in contact with the young Carmelite by the Prioress shortly after her return to Pau. He held her in high esteem. Twice she communicated to him from God, missions to be fulfilled. ...] The young sister followed the events from the time of its closure.
In 1876 he decided to put in writing everything he had witnessed. He gave the title to his account: "Biographical notes on my dear and beloved and most venerated child, Sister Mary of Jesus Crucified, a Carmelite converse nun, now in the Carmelite convent in Bethlehem.

Collection of notes by Mother Elijah
Mother Elijah (of the Carmelite convent in Pau) wrote down everything she noticed about her novice, Sister Mary of Jesus Crucified. These notes begin on September 8, 1868, but in the final, she takes up earlier events recounted in notebooks, in particular the ecstasy of Marseilles and the diabolical possession of Pau which had lasted forty days, from July 1868 to September 4 of the same year.
